In this part of her series, Jernard finds himself on
Hannaria, his family accused of treason and himself in a cell. Part of it
travels back to years prior when he was back on Earth.
His son, Andrew, was dying and Jernard’s wife tried to save
him with her life blood, now leaving them both vulnerable to the forces that
wanted them dead.
Jernard, no longer with the powers that allowed him to
shape-shift into a powerful monster was forced to use wits rather than brawn. Yet he was able to focus on who the evil doers were.
Something
Like the Truth is fast paced, intriguing and as always with her books, I had to
read it in one setting. Couldn't put it down. I have to admit that I enjoyed
Patricia's book so much that there was no favorite part in her book for me. I
had to quote her by picking something random. "We don't think we can land
anywhere right now," Bren said, and all of turned to look at him.
"There's a massive layer of accelerant in the ocean now, too. It's
floating on the surface along the coastline and spreading. Do you know whether
it can ignite above water or not?"
PatriciaGilliam is a great writer for all ages and I highly recommend her books.
